When I was part of a youth group, I always wanted to play spot the difference games and scrabble, I find it challenging and educational.

We did normal things, like going camping, ice caving, or cliff jumping (into water of course). The priests would come along too. The bible was taught in more of a hands on kind of way. It was a really good experience to be able to do these things with the youth group that I belonged to. It was really just a great sense of belonging, and a lot of fun. We did the pictionary thing too. I wouldn't want to sit there and do lame stuff, seriously. You can teach the lessons of the bible through nature in my opinion.

we made a bible bingo, for the older kids we made an answer card we would ask a question then they would find the answer on their card and mark it if it was on there. they enjoyed it. and for the smaller kids we had pictures on theirs. we also took empty 2 liter bottles and filled them with water, set them up like bowling pins and gave them a basketball to knock them down. you can even put food coloring in and each color can be more points. or you could split them up into 2 groups and have a bible challenge. anyway have fun!

We used to do what we called "scripture chase" where the leader would call out a scripture reference and the first person to find it would get a point. Not sure if that's what you're referring to with the bible reference one...but we had fun doing it. You can either read the scripture itself and they have to figure out what it is and find it (that's the hard version) or just call out the scripture reference itself.

When I was a youth leader.
I created my own Bible Jepardy. Which was fun.
5 catergories and 5 questions with different ponts in each of those catergories. Just like the show.

I also created my own bible feud. ( FAmily Feud) just like the tv show.

With a reward for the winner or winning team, you can be sure they will be interested in playing.

Hope that helps
