Bible Trivia?
1. When did a servant gain freedom by losing a tooth?
I found in Exodus 21:27 where it talks about this, but I was wondering if they were just looking for this or for a specific instance in the Bible (I couldn’t find one, but maybe you can?)
2. Which king is said to have gone to the seaside?
3. Who lost his life for asking to marry his stepmother?
Thanks for your help!
1) The law of Moses stipulated that if a master knocked out the tooth of his servant, he had to free the servant for the sake of the tooth. Other than that, I don’t believe that there is any specific instance of this in the Bible.
2) This is a tough one. Pharoah, who was king of Egypt, followed Moses and the Israelites to the Red Sea, and was drowned. Jesus, the King of all Kings, was often by the Sea of Galilee.
3) In I Kings Chapter 2, Adonijah, David’s son, asked for David’s concubine Abishag (not technically a wife, but considered very similar to a wife in position) for his wife. This was the last straw for king Solomon, also David’s son, and the rightful king of Israel, and, as a result of this and his other crimes, Solomon had Adonijah put to death.
